On the 26th of December, 2009 air company “Transaero” started flights on route Moscow – Ulan-Ude – Moscow. On the first stage flights will be twice a week (Thursday and Saturday). Flight schedule is following (time is local): departure from Moscow (airport Domodedovo) at 00.30, arrival to Ulan-Ude at 11.20 a.m. Departure from Ulan-Ude at 12.20 p.m., arrival to Moscow at 13.45 p.m. In summer the frequency of flights will increase.
On the 11th of December there was the first regular flight of Air company “Yakutia” on route Moscow – Ulan-Ude – Moscow. In winter air company “Yakutia” will make flights to Moscow twice a week.
In September 2009 on forum “Routes” in Beijin there were negotiations with leading air companies of Chinese People’s Republic on flights to Ulan-Ude. Administration of Tyanjing, Manzhuria, Hailar cities are ready to promote flights between these cities and Ulan-Ude. Launching of such flights depends on a decision of Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission.
There were negotiations with the Ministry of civil aviation of Mongolia and the management of the national carrier air company MIAT on use of airport Ulan-Ude as a reserve one for airport Ulan-Bator by Mongolian, Chinese and Korean air companies.
